Fallout 3: Misc. Collectables

Overview
There are quite a few items in the game that don't serve a major purpose but are limited in number all the same.
Fat Men
You get your first one (most likely, anyway) as part of the Galaxy News Radio quest, but don't realize there's only a handful of them in the entire game. As they are "the most powerful weapon" in the game, it's worth mentioning where they reside.
- Location: Galaxy News Radio. As part of the quest, the Brotherhood of Steel paladin in-charge will yell at you to loot it from the dead B.o.S. soldier once the Super Mutant Behemoth shows up.
Mini-Nukes
Even the ones you can buy from vendors are set in amount. There's less than 100 mini-nukes in the game.
- Location: Galaxy News Radio. Along with your first Fat Man, you'll get a handful of them off the dead Brotherhood of Steel paladin.
- Location: Tenpenny Tower. It's inside Dashwood's safe.
- Location: Megaton. Moira hands over one as part of the Wasteland Survival Guide quest.
- Location: Super-Duper Mart. It's in the storage room in the back.
Pre-War Books
Pre-War books are one of the best sources of bottlecaps in the entire game. Every one of them that you find is worth a 100 caps a pop if you turn it in to the Brotherhood of Steel scribe inside the Arlington Library. There's about 100 of them in the game.

Nuka-Cola Quantums
Nuka-Cola Quantums are much more important than they first seem. They radiate you quite a bit and simply to return some AP. Woo, big deal, right? Wrong. There's a quest once you get to the Nuka-Cola Factory where you need 30 of them as turn-ins; plus, Nuka-Cola Quantums can be turned into ungodly powerful grenades with supplies much more readily available than the NCQ's are themselves. There's roughly 100 of these as well, plus the potential to be inside any Nuka-Cola machine you activate.
- Location: Springvale School - Interior. It's near a headless corpse pinned to a bed.
- Location: Arefu - nearby lakes. It's on top of two cans at one of the piers south of Arefu.
- Location: Super-Duper Mart. It's in a locked storage container along with two others.

- Location: Flooded Metro - nearby raider camp. It's in a box near the cash register, at the raider's camp south of the metro entrance.
